Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to build, configure, and sustain a Software Factory for the US Space Force. Lead Kubernetes clusters in Azure, deploy Jira/Confluence/GitLab, and guide DevSecOps practices with IaC pipelines.

Qualifications

10+ years of DevOps/Cloud experience.
Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
Experience with CI/CD and related DevOps practices.
US Citizenship required; DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS.
DoD 8140 Certification / Security+.

Responsibilities

Architect and lead build, configuration, and sustainment of a Software Factory on Azure/Kubernetes.
Deploy Jira, Confluence, GitLab to VMs and Kubernetes clusters; implement DevSecOps tooling.
Provide technical leadership for DevSecOps teams and coach for higher performance.
Develop IaC pipelines using Packer, Ansible, and shell scripts; automate deployments.
Oversee sustainment, patching, upgrades, and vulnerability response for clusters and apps.
Travel up to 25% as required.
