Job summary

Cotiviti is consolidating several client-facing portals into one unified Client Performance Portal, spanning executive, analyst, and operations views, and covering SLA reporting, benchmarking, case detail, and billing self-service.

We are looking for a hands-on, full-stack Principal Software Engineer to architect and help build this platform: assess the existing Support module, design how the portal connects to internal systems, and set the patterns the team will follow from day one.

Qualifications

8 years of software engineering experience, with 3 years in principal/staff-level or senior technical lead role.
Strong C#/.NET experience, including Blazor or similar component-based frameworks.
Solid knowledge of Azure PaaS services and managed relational databases.
Experience with enterprise identity platforms (Okta, Entra ID) and SCIM provisioning.
Experience integrating with REST APIs and ITSM systems like Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk.
Proven ability to produce architecture documentation and drive decisions with cross-functional partners.
Experience scoping multi-phase programs and making build-vs/integrate decisions.

Responsibilities

Assess the existing Support module and decide on absorption, wrapping behind an API, or re-platforming.
Lead technical discovery across legacy systems to expose data to a unified client-facing layer.
Define and help build the overall architecture: API layer, data pipelines, auth model, integration patterns.
Document build-vs-integrate decisions with clear tradeoffs.
Design RBAC and data segmentation to support multiple personas and client orgs.
Partner with Product, Security/Compliance, and Data teams from day one.
Write production code across frontend and backend to establish architectural patterns.
Produce architecture docs and decisions records for the team to follow.
Advise on sequencing and risk for multi-phase build.
Be the primary technical contact through discovery and early build.
