Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead Architect to provide technical leadership for CAI products, advancing platform modernization, solution architecture, and AI initiatives across the Retail Agentic Platform.

You will define architectural vision, drive design from discovery through delivery, and partner with engineering, product, and agile leaders to reduce technical debt and produce architectural artifacts. This role requires strong cloud/APIs expertise and a proven leadership mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 6+ years experience, or equivalent combo
Ability to align diverse stakeholders around technical direction
Analytical with capability to deliver proof-of-concepts quickly
Broad architectural knowledge across apps, integration, and platforms
Experience with API delivery at scale and cloud environments

Responsibilities

Define and evolve architectural vision translating business priorities into technical direction across delivery teams
Drive solution design from discovery through delivery—shape epics, surface risks, align teams to target architecture
Partner with engineering, product, and agile leaders to sequence architectural investments
Identify and reduce technical debt in the deal initiation surface and legacy integrations
Champion adoption of common tenancy and AWS-native patterns within the value stream
Identify and champion the use of generative AI in new products and features
Produce and maintain architectural artifacts—roadmaps, decision records, diagrams, integration models
Evaluate emerging technologies, including Gen AI tooling, for applicability to use cases across deals initiation and structuring
