Job summary

Cox Automotive's CAI Architecture Team drives modernization across inventory management, deal initiation, validation and service platforms. The Lead Architect provides technical leadership for key products, advancing platform modernization, solution architecture, and AI initiatives.

The role defines the architectural vision, sequences investments, and partners with engineering, product and agile leaders to balance near-term delivery with long-term platform health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience or equivalent
• Ability to align diverse stakeholders around technical direction
• Highly analytical and capable of deep technical delivery and experimentation
• Breadth of architectural knowledge across application, integration and platform domains

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision translating business priorities into durable technical direction across delivery teams
• Drive solution design from discovery through delivery, shaping epics and surfacing risks
• Partner with engineering, product and agile leaders to sequence architectural investments
• Identify and reduce technical debt in deal initiation surface and legacy integrations
• Champion adoption of Common tenancy and AWS-native patterns
• Identify and champion generative AI use in new products aligned to platform capabilities
• Produce architecture artifacts like roadmaps, decision records, diagrams and models
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including Gen AI tooling for deal initiation and structuring use cases
