Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking a seasoned professional to support the Licensed Chief Plant Operator and supervise plant maintenance tasks. You will lead and coordinate daily operations and step in as Chief when necessary, working with a team of plant staff.

The role requires 4 years of boiler operation experience in a high‑pressure boiler plant, a valid Michigan Driver License, and a State of Michigan Second Class Stationary Engineer license; a $5,000 sign‑on bonus applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 years of power plant experience in the operation of boilers in a high‑pressure boiler plant
• Valid MI Driver License
• State of Michigan Second Class Stationary Engineer Registration/License

Responsibilities

• Assists the Licensed Chief Plant Operator in assignment and supervision of various maintenance and operational tasks.
• Operates as the Chief when he is absent.
• Works in a leadership role collaboratively with the rest of the plant staff.
