Job summary

Ever-Green Energy seeks a dedicated Operating Engineer A to rove between Southeast and Main Energy Plants, ensuring safe, reliable operation of boilers, turbines and chillers. You will conduct rounds, operate equipment, and train newer engineers while coordinating maintenance with a team.

The role requires three years in high-pressure boiler operation, a MN Second Class B Boiler Engineer’s license, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a rotating shift environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a large, high pressure steam heating plant or high pressure boiler operation.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operation of high-pressure boilers, turbine generators, gas turbine and chillers to provide steam, electricity and chilled water to the customer in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspects, operates and adjusts pumps, turbines and equipment associated with safe plant operations.
• Performs boiler and water treatment analyses to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Performs major repairs and maintenance on boilers and auxiliary equipment to prevent shutdown and ensure proper operation in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs cleaning and minor building maintenance to enhance a safe work environment.
• Trains and instructs new Operating Engineer A's to convey company policies and procedures.
