Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of verifiable experience supervising food manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience/certification highly desired.
• Experience working in a USDA environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant maintenance employees and activities.
• Be responsible for the motivation and safety of employees.
• Coach and develop a strong team of maintenance technicians.
• Identify and resolve recurring equipment problems.
• Set up preventive maintenance activities.

Skills

Good communication skills, verbal and written

Strong mechanical skills

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Experience with pumps, valves, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Good understanding of Lockout/Tagout

Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment

Knowledge of process and packaging equipment

Computer-literate and able to use associated software programs

Education

Any certifications or equivalent technical training
