Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to keep production machinery running safely and efficiently in Plymouth, Michigan. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance using hand tools and precision equipment.

You will interpret drawings and OEM specs, mentor teammates, and uphold safety standards including Lockout/Tagout. This on-site role offers a challenging environment with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 5+ years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Broad mechanical knowledge with exposure to electrical, hydraulic, and fluid dynamics systems.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair using tools and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, calibration, and LOTO practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery using hand/power tools and precision/test equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and advanced corrective maintenance.
• Identify root causes of failures and restore reliable operation.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and OEM specs.
• Handle challenging mechanical issues and escalate when needed.
• Coach and mentor teammates on methods and standards.
• Uphold safety, environmental, and quality procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
