Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Planning Manager to join our growing team in Laindon. You will lead the schedule management function, overseeing project planning for the rail/infra sub-business unit, and work with PMO groups to implement best practice.

You will provide leadership, training, and development for the planning team, ensuring timely reports, effective risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing contractual schedules and compensation events.
• Experience with delays, corrective actions and claims.
• Ability to train and coach planning teams.
• Provide leadership to a programme planning team.
• Strong analytical skills for critical path projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• Knowledge of rail disciplines and possession management.
• Ability to implement planning processes and improvements.
• Experience with Power BI reporting.
• Degree level education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess and review contractual schedules to support commercial aspects.
• Manage delays, corrective actions, and claims.
• Provide training on compensation events and EOT.
• Prepare reports and P6 schedule reviews.
• Develop and implement business strategies for planning.
• Establish and maintain a motivated planning team.
• Assess need for changes to planning processes.
• Analyze performance across critical path projects.
• Undertake training for Programme teams.
• Provide ongoing training for capability assessment.
• Share best practice intelligence across units.
• Implement formal training in time-chainage and planning techniques.
• Maintain WBS, activity coding and resource loading; monitor milestones.
