Job description

This position is responsible for ensuring all relevant activities within a project are executed in accordance with Company procedures, steering documentation, management systems.This role will also oversee planning and scheduling project execution and bid proposal development.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead planning efforts by leveraging standard planning documents and outputs from interactive planning processes and systems to develop project schedules.
  • Gather input from team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to create comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Establish schedule assumptions and basis, analyze the Critical Path, and develop plans to support project execution.
  • Assess schedule alternatives and recovery strategies for project changes impacting the Critical Path, providing timely analysis and schedule reports to the team.
  • Manage all Project Controls planning and scheduling methods, systems, and tools used.
  • Support schedule quantity risk analysis using P6 Pertmaster.
  • Work with Procurement / Supply Chain to develop and report schedules and lead times including transportation and logistics.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • 10 years of experience in Project Controls planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry working mega capital projects
  • Strong background in the FPSO, FSO, and FLNG sectors is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficient in common computer applications, with advanced MS Excel skills and expertise in Primavera P6 software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong abilities in report writing, presentations, diplomacy, and assertiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard Project Controls best practices and AACE standards.
  • Capable of independently prioritizing tasks and managing workloads effectively.
  • Proactive and able to collaborate with team members and clients to achieve project objectives.
