Job Description:
China HongKong Planning Leader (Director/Manager)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:

Lead the planning team for 3M China HongKong, drive improvements and standardization aligned with the Global Planning organization in Enterprise Supply Chain, focusing on Service performance and Inventory productivity, E2E Process Metrics, Supply Chain Architecture & Capacity Planning. Support service improvement, risk management, and talent development.

As CHK Planning leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Business Supply Chain to create strategies for delivering customer value.
  2. Partner with Business Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations to define value stream responsiveness/delivery expectations, as well as business inventory/cost expectations to establish planning parameters.
  3. Act as Planning voice into Portfolio, NPI strategy, and decisions.
  4. Ensure consistent application of global standard work in partnership with Area Planning Leaders and Global Planning Process & Analytics team.
  5. Drive Supply Chain Architecture strategy, including CHK strategy and execution.
  6. Ensure consistent SDS Planning, PIPO, and SOS changes occur in CHK.
  7. Manage CHK product availability and backlog – facilitate CHK allocations if necessary. Determine level loading strategies where appropriate.
  8. Support IBP/S&OP processes.
  9. Manage talent in the CHK Planning Organization (Hire, Develop, Assign for Organizational Effectiveness).
  10. Represent Planning in CHK ESC Operating Committee & Leadership Team.
  11. Drive improvements in Key Metrics, including Service (OTIF, Aged Backlog), Inventory (DIO, Inventory $, NWI $ & %), Demand Planning (WAPA, Bias), and E2E Performance Metrics (Key Item Availability, Stock Out %, Supply Plan Attainment, Production Plan Attainment, Supplier OTIF).
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Business.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include:

  • E2E Supply Chain process knowledge.
  • Business and Financial Acumen.
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma and/or Business Transformation experience.
  • Ability to operate at Strategic and Operational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to drive results while navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional projects using project management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts across all organizational levels.

Travel:
  • Up to 15% domestic/international travel may be required.
