Job summary

Modigent in the United States is seeking a Superintendent - Piping/Fabrication to lead field operations on commercial mechanical projects, supervising piping fabrication, welding, and installation to deliver code-compliant, high-quality piping for HVAC, plumbing and process applications.

You will coordinate fabrication workflows, material handling, and site assembly, enforce safety, and mentor crews while advancing through our people-first culture and nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in piping fabrication/installation for commercial mechanical projects, including 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Education: High school diploma or GED; trade certifications preferred.
• Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, work in confined spaces.
• Work Environment: Construction sites/fabrication shops; adhere to OSHA regulations and PPE requirements; occasional regional travel/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation of piping systems per blueprints, specs, and codes.
• Manage shop and field crews, including scheduling, material staging, and tool/equipment readiness.
• Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure PPE compliance.
• Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, and project managers for sequencing and conflict resolution.
• Perform quality inspections, pressure testing, and documentation for handover and compliance.
• Troubleshoot fabrication/installation issues, optimize workflows, and minimize waste.
• Mentor pipefitters, welders, and fabricators on best practices and safety.
