Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Piping Superintendent for commercial construction projects. You will lead field crews, coordinate trades, review design drawings, and ensure quality installations while maintaining safety and cost controls.

Qualified candidates bring 7+ years in field pipe fitting, extensive welding/rigging knowledge, and the ability to supervise large crews across multiple crafts. OSHA 30 and CPR are preferred. Visit www.acibuilds.com for more information.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial experience in field pipe fitting operations or equivalent vocational training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of welding, fitting, rigging, and hydronic, steam and gas systems.
• Ability to supervise large crews (20+ members) across multiple crafts.
• Knowledge of other mechanical trade disciplines and durable cost-control practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, plus interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Experience with man-hour reports, job cost reporting, workforce planning, and estimating.
• Understanding of construction cost control and goal setting; ability to coordinate with engineering and project teams.
• OSHA 30 and CPR certifications; ability to read designs and contract drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervises field crew, subcontractor, and craft activities; plans methods, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinates work across crafts and departments and with subcontractors.
• Documents potential change orders and tracks cost implications.
• Maintains relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Conducts weekly safety meetings and onsite coordination to meet drawings and specs.
• Oversees on-site material take-offs, tool and equipment ordering to maximize productivity.
• Ensures quality installation of hydronic, gas, and steam piping and proper fabrication controls.
