Job summary

Gulf Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Principal Designer – Piping to lead complex piping and instrument design using CAD and CadWorx. You will review vendor drawings, mentor designers, and guide project execution.

The role requires 10+ years in piping design, strong knowledge of codes, and demonstrated leadership. A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree or certification is preferred; experience with pipeline and upstream facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CAD experience.
• 10+ years design experience in piping (P&IDs, piping plans and sections, piping BOMs).
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• Previous project leadership preferred.
• Experience in piping projects for pipeline or upstream compressor/pump stations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex designs and layouts of Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Piping Plans, Sections & Isometrics and Piping Bill of Materials utilizing CAD hardware and software.
• Review vendor drawings and information.
• Train and direct designers and other CAD personnel.
• Ability to function in lead role on projects.
