Job summary

GAS GLOBAL SERVICES seeks a Senior 3D Piping Designer to support industrial projects from concept through construction in Houston, TX. The candidate will lead piping layout, 3D modeling, and interdisciplinary coordination while ensuring constructability and quality.

Required are 10+ years in piping design, strong CADWorx/AutoCAD/Navisworks skills, and experience with brownfield/greenfield projects. This role involves mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multiple disciplines on site.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial piping design experience.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects preferred.
• Familiarity with laser scanning, point clouds, and 3D modelling preferred.
• Strong understanding of piping standards, plant layout, supports, fabrication, and construction practices.
• Ability to work independently and lead piping design efforts on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D piping models using industry-standard software.
• Create piping layouts, equipment arrangements, isometrics, and construction deliverables.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with mechanical, process, civil/structural, electrical, and controls teams.
• Support model reviews, constructability reviews, and field installation activities.
• Generate material take-offs and assist with project execution through detailed design and construction.
• Mentor junior designers and support design quality initiatives.
