Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. based in Lumberton, NC, seeks an experienced Foreman Pipefitter to lead pipe fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial HVAC piping systems in industrial and commercial settings. You will guide pipe fitters and welders, ensure safety and quality, read blueprints, and document work while mentoring the crew on site.

Qualifications

• Pipe fitters must measure, cut, and fit pipes per specifications and blueprints.
• Read blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical documents.
• Dismantle and replace damaged pipes, valves, or fittings; perform maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols; use PPE; follow welding and cutting procedures.
• Lead team on job site and coordinate with trades.
• Lift up to 75 pounds; frequent lifting up to 50 pounds; physical demands exceed light work.
• 4 years vocational prep; minimum 5+ years related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and write reports with proper format.

Responsibilities

• Pipe installation: measure, cut, and fit pipes per specs.
• Pipe connection: weld, solder, braze, or fit pipes; install valves and gauges.
• Blueprint interpretation: read drawings to plan routing and fittings.
• Pipe repair and maintenance: diagnose leaks and replace damaged components.
• Safety compliance: enforce PPE and safety procedures on site.
• Collaboration: work with plumbers, welders, and other pros as a team.
• Documentation: maintain records of materials used and modifications.
