Job summary

PremiStar's Lumberton facility is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain commercial HVAC piping systems in industrial and commercial settings. You will work with steel, copper, plastic, and stainless steel piping, following blueprints and engineering specifications to ensure leak-free, properly aligned installations.

Candidates should have refrigeration and hydronic piping experience preferred, be able to read safety rules and drawings, and perform

Qualifications

• Refrigeration & hydronic piping experience preferred.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Climb and balance on ladders, lifts, and scaffolds and stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and frequent handling of objects.
• 4 years vocational preparation; minimum 5+ years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Pipe Installation: measure, cut, and fit pipes per blueprints using steel, copper, plastic, and stainless steel.
• Pipe Connection: join pipes with welding, soldering, brazing, or mechanical fittings; install valves and gauges.
• Blueprint Interpretation: read isometrics and drawings to plan routing and sizing.
• Pipe Repair and Maintenance: diagnose leaks or faulty components; replace pipes, valves, or fittings; perform routine maintenance.
• Safety Compliance: follow PPE protocols and safety procedures during welding, cutting, and high‑risk activities.
• Collaboration: work with plumbers, welders, and other trades to ensure smooth installation and operation.
• Documentation: maintain records of materials used and modifications for compliance.
