Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. seeks a Pipefitter to fabricate, assemble, install and maintain commercial HVAC piping systems from Lumberton, NC. Experience with refrigeration or hydronic piping is preferred.

The role emphasizes accurate pipe fitting, blueprint interpretation, and collaboration with plumbers and welders. Responsibilities include installation, connection, and maintenance of piping, valves, gauges, and control devices, with strong adherence to safety protocols and documentation

Qualifications

• Refrigeration & hydronic piping experience preferred.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Climb and balance on ladders, lifts, and scaffolds; stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• 4 Years vocational preparation; minimum 5+ years related work experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, instructions, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Pipe Installation: measure, cut, and fit pipes per specs and blueprints using steel, copper, plastic, and stainless steel.
• Pipe Connection: join pipes using welding, soldering, brazing, or mechanical fittings with leak-free accuracy.
• Blueprint Interpretation: read blueprints and isometrics to plan routing and fittings.
• Pipe Repair and Maintenance: diagnose leaks, replace damaged pipes and fittings, perform routine maintenance.
