Job summary

Temp-Con, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH seeks an experienced pipefitter/welder to coordinate and install commercial piping systems and perform field fabrication. You will read blueprints, braze copper, install supports, and manage materials to meet schedules.

Required are 5+ years in pipefitting/welding in field operations, with a high school diploma or GED and relevant coursework. OSHA 10 certification is a plus and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in field plumbing operations and pipefitting.
• Apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lay out, install, assemble, and repair commercial piping systems and fixtures.
• Perform field fabrication and schedule tasks for projects.
• Sweat, braze, and weld copper systems.
• Install hangars or supports for piping systems.
• Adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules.
• Manage materials to ensure timely completion.
• Read blueprints and interpret specs.
• Address punch lists and distribute work as required.
• Plan work to maximize manpower and resources.
• Inspect work in progress and completed work for conformance.
• Meet the needs of general contractors, owners, and customers.
• Update superintendent/project manager on issues affecting production.
• Assist PMs and superintendents with problems promptly.
• Attend jobsite and office meetings as required.
• Coach and mentor junior workers to raise skills.
• Encourage skill improvement among pipefitters.
• All other duties as assigned.
