Job summary

SEARHC in Juneau, Alaska seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across ages, directing PTAs and staff as needed. You will diagnose, plan treatment, and collaborate with a broad care team to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.

You will educate patients and families, develop home exercise programs, and ensure documentation adheres to SEARHC policies. Requires active Alaska PT license and BLS; on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist with valid Alaska license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to supervise PTA and other staff per departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general PT evaluations and treatments for a wide age range with varied diagnoses.
• Develop and implement therapy plans of care; adjust based on patient response.
• Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants and staff when needed.
• Document findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes in SEARHC records.
• Collaborate with care teams; coordinate equipment and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education and home exercise programs.
