Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and work with the health care team to optimize mobility and function. The role includes supervising PT assistants and providing staff in-services while maintaining compliant documentation across the facility.

The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff, along with ongoing education on safety, fall prevention, and rehabilitation program development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Computer skills: inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine physical therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and provide in-services to staff.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
