• Accredited Physical Therapy Program completed.
• Valid Physical Therapy License to practice in Kansas.

• Ability to exercise mature judgment in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Executes doctor’s orders.
• Screens and evaluates patients to determine status.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with measurable outcomes.
• Oversees and participates in the maintenance of therapy records.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains appropriate patient schedule per established guidelines.
• Documents records to meet reimbursement and facility requirements.
• Participates in patient, family, and facility meetings as appropriate.
• Follows safety, emergency, and infection-control procedures.
• Coordinates and/or participates in training programs for staff.
• Initiates new program development to improve residents’ functional outcomes.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement.
• Manages patient lifting and mobility within biomechanical safety guidelines.
