Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Physical Therapist Leader to guide outpatient care with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Seven years of clinical experience and leadership experience are preferred.

The role requires a current Maryland PT license; APTA certification and Manual Therapy Certification are preferred; CPR certification is required. You will supervise clinicians, develop care plans, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; successful completion of continuing education in required area of specialization
• Seven years of related clinical work experience; some formal or informal program leadership experience preferred
• Current Maryland license as a Physical Therapist
• APTA certification, preferred; Manual Therapy Certification, preferred; CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Establishes evidence-based plan of care with goals for each patient; incorporates multidisciplinary feedback; teaches patient/family activities; select devices; address concerns.
• Documents evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries; prepare billing documentation with ICD/CPT coding.
• Collaborates with other services; provides guidance on treatment planning for complex patients.
• Monitors department performance; supervise therapists; lead changes to implement best practices; maintain clinical standards and policies.
• Participates in developing patient care programs and improving safety and quality; use performance improvement tools.
• Participates in interview/evaluation of applicants; facilitate orientation and training of staff.
• Coordinate continuing education opportunities for staff and supervision of residents, students, and other services.
