Job summary

RAND is seeking a Manager, Physical Security to lead a comprehensive security program across all RAND locations. The role covers access control, surveillance, emergency response, and compliance with NISPOM and related DoD standards.

The position is in-office in Washington, DC with required 5-day onsite presence and some travel. Ten years of relevant experience and a TS/SCI clearance are preferred. Strong leadership and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, FIPS and DoD security regulations.
• Experience with budgeting and fiscal management.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical security across RAND locations with 24/7 program oversight.
• Manage access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and audits.
• Oversee security operations, staff development, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with Facilities, IT, and other teams on security projects.
