Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a patient care technician to support outpatient testing, venipuncture, EKGs, specimen collection, and vital signs.

You will assist with rooming patients, document orders in Epic, maintain a safe work environment, and participate in department logs and PPE protocols.

Candidates should have HS diploma and 1-2 years phlebotomy or related experience; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years phlebotomy, secretary-technician or patient care technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection in a safe environment.
• Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) as ordered and document results.
• Assist with rooming patients, taking vital signs, and communicating with RN/provider.
• Maintain clean, stocked work station and monitor supplies.
• Adhere to safety and infection prevention policies, including PPE.
