Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare in Pomona, CA is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood collection and support lab operations in a full-time day schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and skin puncture, assisting in pre- and post-analytical processes, QA tasks, and maintaining courteous interactions with patients, staff and physicians. California phlebotomy certification and CPR required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current California phlebotomy certification.
• High school diploma required.
• 3–5 years of robust experience in an acute care setting.
• AHA CPR certification required.

Salary Range: $24.00-$26.00/hr

Acts as a resource person for other phlebotomists.Performs special assignments and projects involved in maintaining and improving lab operations and departments outside the lab. Performs blood collection by venipuncture and skin puncture.Assists in pre-analytical phase of testing—accessioning, processing, distributing specimens to workstation.Assists in post-analytical phase of testing—report distribution—hand carried, faxed, LIS generated to printer.Interacts well with all patients, co-workers and physicians. Is involved with QA/productivity tasks with or without the Lab Information System.

Requirements include: current phlebotomy certification from the State of California, High school graduation and 3-5 years of robust experience in an acute care setting.Must maintain current AHA sponsored CPR certification
