Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fundamental computer skills and familiarity with Windows OS.
• Completion of one of the following: 1 year of technician experience with training program; 1 year with current certification; 3 years of technician experience.

The Lead Pharmacy Technician works within Pharmacy laws and standards of practice to ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications. The Lead Pharmacy Technician guides daily pharmacy technician operations and scheduling, and ensures that technicians have the resources and training necessary to perform their essential functions.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Fundamental understanding of personal computers, keyboarding skills, and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
3. Completion of one of the following:

1. 1 year of technician experience and completion of a pharmacy technician training program
2. 1 year of technician experience and current pharmacy technician certification
3. 3 years of pharmacy technician experience

Preferred Qualifications

1. Management or leadership experience
2. Experience training and/or coaching others
3. Certification as a pharmacy technician
