PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Alaska for a Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Day shift. The role supports pharmacists with inpatient orders, IV preparation, and medication delivery within a hospital setting.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and Alaska Pharmacy Technician certification within 60 days; prior hospital experience is preferred. Strong customer service and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
Experience in hospital pharmacy utilizing unit dose, IV admixtures, and pharmacy computer systems; retail experience considered.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Certified Pharmacy Technician - Alaska within 60 days.

Responsabilités

Enter inpatient orders/prescriptions into the computer and prepare labels for medications to be checked by the pharmacist.
Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel within guidelines.
Inspect medications for outdates in Pyxis stations in patient care areas.
Prepare IVs, PCAs, Epidurals and label IV products; prepare chemotherapeutic IVs as needed.
Package drugs into unit dose packaging and maintain records.
Reconstitute medications by adding distilled water as required.
Run fill lists and prepare medications for Cubies or Pyxis stations.
Deliver medications and IVs to patient care areas, manage controlled substances inventories.
