Job summary

Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist to join our closed-door, sterile compounding team in Lake Butler, FL. You will oversee sterile preparation, verify orders, and ensure compliance with USP /, DEA, OSHA, and state Board requirements while leading a team of pharmacists and technicians.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, patient safety, and collaboration with clinicians in a fast-paced infusion/pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a sterile compounding environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders.
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
• Review medication profiles for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
• Maintain cleanroom, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring standards.
• Manage all aspects of quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and audit compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain and oversee inventory management, controlled substances, and pharmacy operations.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.
• Lead and participate in staff meetings.
