Job summary

RPh on the Go USA, Inc. seeks a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for our Lake Butler, FL infusion pharmacy. This leadership role blends sterile compounding expertise with clinical services, regulatory compliance, and staff development to support infusion patients safely and efficiently.

Location is Lake Butler, FL with a Monday–Friday schedule; 2 pharmacists, 2 technicians, and 1 weekend pharmacist onsite. The role emphasizes patient safety, QA, and adherence to USP, DEA, OSHA, and board regulatory

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding in compliance with USP, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Preferred 3-5 years of recent experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy settings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with accuracy.
• Perform and supervise sterile compounding according to USP 797 and 800 standards.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
• Review medication profiles for safety concerns including allergies, interactions, and dosing.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Supervise, mentor, and train pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
• Maintain cleanroom environments and uphold aseptic technique and environmental monitoring.
• Manage quality assurance, medication safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory control, controlled substances handling, and pharmacy operations.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure adherence to OSHA, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Utilize appropriate PPE consistently to ensure a safe working environment.
