Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and provide pharmacological information to health care teams.
• Review provider orders for accuracy and detect incompatibilities.
• Dispense medications with proper labeling.
• Oversee technician workflow and verify order entry.
• Counsel patients and providers on drug therapies.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal laws, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid.
• Maintain infection control and safe working environment.
• Stay updated on pharmacology through education.
• Maintain records of all pharmacy transactions as required by law.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of medications and supplies.
• Seek opportunities to collaborate and improve patient outcomes.
• Supervise staff and conduct performance evaluations.
