Job summary

Western Wayne Family Health Centers in Inkster, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the WWFHC pharmacy under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will receive prescriptions, fill orders, collect co-pays and verify insurance while maintaining patient charts and answering questions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, stock and prepare prescriptions for dispensing.
• Maintain records by filling prescriptions and orders.
• Verify patient insurance and collect co-pays.
• Answer patient questions and phone inquiries.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
