Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking a Floating Pharmacist to deliver top‑tier patient care across locations in Florida. The role emphasizes counseling, MTM services, and immunizations while supporting store teams and ensuring smooth clinical operations.

The position requires pharmacy licensure, a retail mindset, and the ability to adapt to varying workflows, with focus on customer service, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• No active suspensions or restrictions relating to health insurance program participation.
• No unacceptable drug test results in the past three years.
• Preferred: immunizing pharmacist eligible or in training.
• Preferred: strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: able to interpret instructions and solve problems.
• Preferred: numerical and financial aptitude.
• Preferred: knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients and empower staff.
• Counsel patients and promote customer loyalty.
• Lead MTM and immunization initiatives.
• Maintain operations in the absence of pharmacist-in-charge.
• Ensure efficient prescription processing using pharmacy technology.
• Mentor staff on Publix pharmacy practices.
• Support new pharmacy initiatives at the location.
• Ensure timely fulfillment and team performance.
