Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Lead Pharmacist for Pharmacy Medication Policy and Utilization. You will lead staff pharmacists in aligning medication policy, optimize use across UW Medicine, and track pharmacoeconomic trends to identify value- and cost-saving opportunities.

You will develop and implement drug-use policies from the P&T Committee and oversee medication-use evaluation, formulary monographs and related review documents.

Qualifications

• Three years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Residency training may substitute months of experience.
• Experience with medication-use policy and formulary reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pharmacy Department's vision and guidance.
• Oversee medication-use evaluation, formulary monographs, and reviews.
• Coordinate drug shortage responses and IT system changes.
• Promote standardized, cost-effective medication-use practices.
• Collaborate with management on reimbursement trends and patient safety.
