Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Medication Utilization Strategy Pharmacist to optimize medication use across UVA Medical Center, ensuring safety, clinical effectiveness, and cost efficiency. You will support the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, develop drug use guidelines, and lead stewardship initiatives to improve formulary management.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from ACPE accredited college.
• Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license or within 60 days of hire; BLS required.
• PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization of medication utilization for safe, effective, and cost-efficient use across UVA Medical Center.
• Develop and review drug use guidelines, policies, or protocols; support formulary management.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee to analyze pharmacoeconomics and best practices.
