Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Aquilino Cancer Center is hiring an experienced PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The role performs PET/CT exams, ensures radiation safety, and manages patient throughput while maintaining licensure and accreditation standards.

Qualified candidates have a Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license, ARRT/NMTCB credentials, BLS, and AMA/JRCERT‑accredited education. Sign‑on bonus offered and various benefits accompany full‑time employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA/JRCERT accredited Nuclear Medicine program
• Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license
• ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification
• Active BLS certification and strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Performs PET/CT exams per radiologist protocols and documents in RIS/PACS
• Manages radiation safety issues and attends quarterly meetings
• Reviews orders, identifies patients, selects scanning protocols for quality and safety
• Maintains NRC/State licenses and site protocols; supports accreditation efforts
• Collaborates with leadership to improve policies and throughput
