Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Pega Lead Developer to drive architecture, hands-on development, and end-to-end lifecycle design for enterprise-grade Pega solutions. The role involves leading by example in rule development, UI components, and integrations, while ensuring adherence to guardrails and performance standards.

Qualified candidates will have CSSA, CLAS options, and a track record of delivering complex case management with REST/SOAP integrations.

Qualifications

• Pega Platform experience with proven hands-on technical lead responsibility.
• Expertise in designing complex, enterprise-grade case management solutions.
• Experience with REST/SOAP, OAuth/Security protocols, Connectors, Services, and background processing frameworks.
• understanding of the Pega Rules Engine, Class Structure design, Flow Rules, Decision Tables, Data Pages, and Rule Resolution.
• Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required; Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust Pega applications, emphasizing workflow orchestration and case management.
• Actively build rules, flows, UI components, decisioning, and integrations—leading by example through daily contribution to the codebase.
• Convert complex business demands into scalable, maintainable, and efficient Pega designs.
• Ensure all deliverables strictly adhere to Pega Guardrails, performance benchmarks, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including multi-tier stages, steps, SLAs, routing, approvals, and escalations.
• Leverage case types, child cases/subcases, spin-off processes, and wait shapes to manage intricate business flows.
• Design intuitive, modern portals and dashboards using Pega UX best practices to boost efficiency for caseworkers.
• Design and build robust integrations using REST/SOAP services, connectors, and native Pega integration patterns.
• Partner with upstream and downstream systems to define clear API specifications and data models.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and integration failures.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high quality and guardrail compliance across the team.
• Guide junior and mid-level developers, assisting with technical challenges and fostering skill growth.
• Establish standard design patterns and reusable Pega assets to streamline development speed and efficiency.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Pega Lead Developer.

Title: Pega Lead Developer.

Position type: Full Time – Contract

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX, Chandler, AZ (3 days office / 2 days Remote)

As a Pega Lead Developer, you will:

• Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust Pega applications, emphasizing workflow orchestration and case management.
• Hands-on Development: Actively build rules, flows, UI components, decisioning, and integrations—leading by example through daily contribution to the codebase.
• Translating Requirements: Convert complex business demands into scalable, maintainable, and efficient Pega designs.
• Governance & Standards: Ensure all deliverables strictly adhere to Pega Guardrails, performance benchmarks, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Lifecycle Design: Implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including multi-tier stages, steps, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), routing, approvals, and escalations.
• Complex Workflows: Leverage case types, child cases/subcases, spin-off processes, and wait shapes to manage intricate business flows.
• User Experience Optimization: Design intuitive, modern portals and dashboards using Pega UX best practices to boost efficiency for caseworkers.
• Interface Development: Design and build robust integrations using REST/SOAP services, connectors, and native Pega integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, Queue Processors, Job Schedulers).
• API Contracts: Partner with upstream and downstream systems to define clear API specifications and data models.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and integration failures.
• Code Reviews & Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high quality and guardrail compliance across the team.
• Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level developers, assisting with technical challenges and fostering skill growth.
• Reusable Assets: Establish standard design patterns and reusable Pega assets to streamline development speed and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Pega Platform experience with proven hands-on technical lead responsibility.
• Expertise in designing complex, enterprise-grade case management solutions.
• Experience with REST/SOAP, OAuth/Security protocols, Connectors, Services, and background processing frameworks.
• understanding of the Pega Rules Engine, Class Structure design, Flow Rules, Decision Tables, Data Pages, and Rule Resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern Pega Infinity versions (Pega 8.x / 23.x / 24.x).
• Familiarity with Pega Deployment Manager, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Pega Cloud).
• experience delivering features within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $70/hr to $77/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
