Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse for our Primary care practice in Newark, Delaware. The Lead RN provides clinical oversight, mentors staff, and supports day-to-day ambulatory operations to ensure safe, high-quality pediatric care.

The role emphasizes leadership in patient flow, policy adherence, and staff development, with collaboration across nursing managers, physicians, and office leadership to maintain excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• RN leadership experience in ambulatory/primary care settings.
• Strong clinical oversight and mentoring skills.
• Ability to coordinate nursing processes and ensure policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential RN duties in ambulatory care.
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding clinical staff.
• Coordinate orientation and monitor 90-day performance.
• Oversee clinical staff to ensure safety and adherence to standards.
• Monitor annual competencies and foster professional development.
• Support day-to-day operations and flow of patient care.
• Provide feedback using audits, chart reviews, and call monitoring.
• Collaborate with Nurse/Office Manager and Physician in Charge.
• Lead staff meetings and share relevant information.
