Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Pediatric care team at our Foulk Road location in Wilmington, Delaware. The Lead RN provides clinical oversight, mentors staff, and supports the Nurse Manager in day-to-day operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

This role emphasizes hands-on clinical leadership, staff development, and adherence to Nemours Standards of Behavior.

Qualifications

• BSN required and active licensure in Delaware.
• Eligible for Delaware nursing license.
• CPN or equivalent national certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of related nursing experience.
• Phone triage experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the essential functions of the RN role.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring clinical staff.
• Coordinate orientation of new clinical staff to meet 90-day goals.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure safety and quality of patient care.
• Coach and develop clinical associates and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager/Office Manager and Physician in Charge for daily operations.
• Monitor adherence to Nemours Standards of Behavior.
• Manage medication and vaccine processes per regulations.
• Attend lead nurse meetings and share information.

BSN Required

DE nursing license eligible

CPN certification preferred
