Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a cafeteria, catering, or hospital food service setting.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or five years of equivalent experience.
• ServSafe certification within six months of employment.
• Detailed knowledge of guest relations, supervision/leadership, and food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs all activities of food service staff.
• Prepares weekly work schedules and covers for unexpected staffing shortages.
• Conducts timely evaluations for all food service staff.
• Oversees the patient tray line and cafe services, including timeliness of set-up and delivery, quality of food, and portion control.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of the staff, including assignments, time tracking, and on-the-job training.
• Coaches and mentors the team to ensure growth and success and assists with performance evaluations and hiring decisions.
