The Lead Licensed Mechanical Project Engineer at Cuhaci Peterson leads planning, design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building systems for a variety of commercial, retail, institutional, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects.

This role serves as a technical leader and project resource, providing engineering expertise, project oversight, quality assurance, and mentorship to engineering and design staff.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active PE license required.
• 8-10 years of progressive mechanical engineering design experience for building systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Thorough understanding of building, mechanical, energy, and accessibility codes.
• Experience serving as Engineer of Record preferred.
• Demonstrated client-facing and project leadership experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Perform calculations, load analyses, equipment selections, and system evaluations.
• Develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions aligned with project goals.
• Exercise independent engineering judgment with minimal supervision.
• Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, and company practices.
• Review, validate, and approve technical designs, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned.
• Collaborate with PMs and project teams to establish scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
