Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a current WSH employee who has completed the one-year probation/Waived to 6 months with recommendation from current RNC
• Ability to provide direct psychiatric patient care under supervisor of licensed staff
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and psychiatric patients
• Ability to work in a secure, locked environment with individuals experiencing acute symptoms or forensic/legal involvement
• Willing to learn basic knowledge of developmental and psychiatric disorders and human behavior

Responsibilities

• Lead PCTs provide recovery-oriented direct care in a hospital setting under licensed staff supervision
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients
• Assist with ADLs, take vital signs, feeding, and observations
• Deliver individual and group treatment programs to patients with serious mental illness or developmental disabilities
• Participate in the unit-based treatment team and Learning Center activities
