Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to own the PCB fabrication interface across SI engineers, PCB designers and fabricators. You will manage stackups, impedance documentation, and DFM decisions to ensure on-time, compliant builds.

You will lead qualification of new suppliers, drive process improvements for HDI/UHDI, and forecast long-lead materials to meet program needs within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years in PCB fabrication, front-end/CAM engineering, or related roles.
• Expert in multilayer PCB construction and impedance control.
• Experience with supplier qualification and DFM across multiple fabrication partners.

Responsibilities

• Own technical interface between SI engineers, PCB designers, and fabrication suppliers.
• Create and maintain vendor-agnostic stackups and impedance/data documentation.
• Evaluate design packages for manufacturability and recommend alternatives.
• Lead qualification of new fabrication suppliers and processes (HDI/UHDI/SLP).
• Forecast material needs and drive pre-orders aligned to schedules.
• Develop and report PCB process-health metrics and status.
