Job summary

Samtec, Inc. in Mechanicsburg, PA seeks a senior PCB fabrication professional to own the interface between signal integrity engineers, PCB designers, and external fabrication suppliers. You will document stackups, evaluate manufacturability, and lead supplier qualification and DFM discussions.

The role requires 7–12 years in PCB fabrication/design, BS in a related field, and strong knowledge of HDI/UHDI and high-speed interconnects. On-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of PCB fabrication, front-end/CAM engineering, supplier engineering or advanced PCB design.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; MS preferred.
• Strong experience with HDI/UHDI, SLP, and substrate constructions is expected.
• Proven ability to lead supplier qualification and DFM discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own technical interface between SI engineers, PCB designers, and fabrication suppliers.
• Create and maintain vendor-agnostic stackups and impedance data.
• Evaluate design packages for manufacturability and cost risk.
• Lead qualification of new fabrication suppliers and processes.
• Forecast material lead times and drive schedule commitments.
• Develop Samtec's fabrication partner relationships and write technical requirements.
