Job summary

Atoms in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead PCB/PCBA design for production robotics hardware. You will own end-to-end design in Altium, including schematics, layout, and release packages, with a focus on high-speed, mixed-signal, and controlled-impedance routing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing PCBAs for production hardware.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer (schematic, layout, release workflows).
• Experience with multi-layer boards and high-speed design.
• Strong understanding of mixed-signal layout, grounding/return paths, and decoupling.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (FCC, CE, IEC/UL) and DFM/DFT practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end PCB/PCBA design in Altium: schematic capture, layout, and release packages.
• Manage controlled impedance routing and high-speed interfaces.
• Develop manufacturing documentation and release packages; ensure design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, and manufacturing teams across motor control, sensors, and power distribution.
• Lead design reviews and contribute to system-level architecture decisions.
