Job summary

Xpertis Talent in Philadelphia, PA is seeking two Hardware Design Engineers to bolster its R&D capability onsite in Philadelphia. You will design and develop electronic circuitry for aerospace and defense systems, with emphasis on reliability for field/flight conditions.

You will collaborate across teams, conduct thorough analysis and testing, and participate in design reviews and regulatory submissions. Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years preferred, Master’s optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware/PCB design, preferably in aerospace/defense/high-reliability.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro; strong PCB/layout skills.
• Strong analog/digital circuit design, signal integrity, EMC/EMI considerations.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/810, DO-160, AS9100 and ITAR compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-team communication.

They are currently seeking two Hardware Design Engineers to bolster their R&D capability onsite in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define product specifications and integrate hardware designs into overall system architecture.


• Design and develop electronic circuitry for aerospace and defense systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and military standards.


• Conduct schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout design using industry-standard tools.


• Perform thorough analysis, simulation, and testing of hardware designs to ensure performance, reliability, and ruggedization for field/flight conditions.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.


• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory/compliance submissions.

• Familiarity with ITAR requirements and ability to work on export-controlled programs (U.S. Person status may be required).


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
