Job summary

Powerus is seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the design, layout, and production release of printed circuit boards for autonomous aerial systems. You will drive end-to-end development from schematic to manufacturing handoff, defining stackups, impedance, and power integrity.

The role collaborates with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing eng., reporting to Head of Engineering. Location is in the United States, near Charlotte, NC, and requires hands-on experience with IPC standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years designing PCBs through production release.
Proficiency with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
Experience with impedance-controlled routing and stackups.
Knowledge of IPC standards and ITAR considerations.

Responsibilities

Lead PCB design from concept through production release for mixed-signal boards.
Define board stackups and impedance profiles based on SI/EMC requirements.
Perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses.
Create fabrication/assembly packages and review Gerber files.
Coordinate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.
Conduct DFM/DFT reviews with contract manufacturers and support bring-up.
