Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Lead Patient Care Assistant to coordinate daily PCA workflows and staffing for each shift. The role mentors PCAs, supports adherence to quality and safety standards, and serves as a communication link between Nurse Leaders, Registered Nurses, and the PCA team.

While maintaining direct patient care, the Lead PCA provides operational support to improve efficiency, staff engagement, and the overall patient experience within the unit.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a patient care role required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow for the Patient Care Assistant team during each shift.
• Assist with staffing assignments and mentor PCAs.
• Promote adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Act as a communication link between the Nurse Leader, RNs, and the PCA team.
• Maintain direct patient care responsibilities while providing operational support to improve efficiency, staff engagement, and patient experience.
