Job summary

BlackSky seeks a Senior Program Manager for Payload and Space Systems in Seattle, with a hybrid work arrangement. You will lead vendor management, trades, and schedule tracking for satellite subsystems and cross-link systems, ensuring performance targets align with business needs.

The role interfaces with engineering teams, drives milestone reviews, and supports development from design through flight testing. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of direct Project Management Experience.
• Experience with spacecraft test and operation systems.
• Experience with complex hardware/software integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor relationships and trade studies.
• Track schedules and risks across subsystems.
• Interface with engineering teams for compliance to specs.
• Lead milestone reviews: PDR, CDR, Test Readiness.
• Prepare documentation for flight testing and qualification.
• Coordinate with procurement for production handoffs.
