Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to operate paving equipment (Pavers, Rollers, Broom Tractor, Lute and Tack Truck).
• Travel in short intervals may be required.
• Must be able to speak English fluently.
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling field activities, subcontractors and crew members.
• Inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is on schedule.
• Direct and supervise the activities of the crew in the crew foreman’s absence.
• Assist with analyzing construction equipment needs and trucking requirements.
• Maintain daily records of all significant project facts, crew timesheets, events and conditions.
• Assist with the instruction and training of employees and ensure the safety of the workers.
• Supervises all phases of a paving operation such as maintenance of equipment, employees, and distribution of product.
• Aid crew foreman in implementing environmental, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Know basic paving applications abilities and limitations.
• Recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur.
• Keep equipment serviced and in good working order.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
